Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix discovered early that she was gifted for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks after her very first tryout. Felix graduated from high school in 2003, and signed with Adidas a contract as professional athlete. The following year she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. She broke a Junior World Record by taking 200m in 22.18 second. She was the youngest world winner in the 200m in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently in the top 3 in her various races during the Olympics held during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
